Hi there, I’m Esther
I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Piano Instructor in 2013, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible.


Bio
Esther has been actively teaching piano performance, music theory and music history since 2013.
Her students range from 3 years old to adults (beginners to ABRSM Diploma). Among them are Distinction achievers at ABRSM exams, as well as competition winners.
She received her Master of Arts in Music studies and German at University of Aberdeen, Scotland of UK where she received a scholarship from Hong Kong Bursary. There, she worked with Dr. Barbara Payne and Dr. Roger Bevan Williams, Musical Director for the Cathedral Church of St Machar and Music Advisor to the National Trust for Scotland.

She had also spent a year at Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Leipzig of Germany and worked with Tomoko Takeshita, pianist for the renowned Gewandhausorchester.
With her teaching experiences as well as everything she has learnt from her mentors, she continues passing down the knowledge and values to her students.
She believes first and foremost in teaching her students to become well-rounded musicians and individuals though a combination of technique, reading, creativity, theory and aural skills.
